It’s a 5-minute video about a brand new application you can add to your social network page (works now with Facebook and Bebo, and soon MySpace). It’s amazing that no matter how beneficial, not only this business has been but the very business model has been, that there are still naysayers out there that will call what we do a scam! Or a pyramid scheme. Or whatever negative terminology that they can think of to call what we do.
In fact, I just saw this very thing in a movie that I saw the other day and I really wanted to share it with you today. Check it out!
We have these naysayers even though it’s been well documented that one of the best ways to make money is with an MLM or multi level marketing business. Everyone from Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki and Oprah Winfrey are claiming that these residual income opportunities are a great way for everyday people to leverage their time and limited financial resources and make good money. These people are rich. Do you think they’d be recommending this to you, risking their reputation and the integrity that they have if it didn’t actually work? This is one of the oldest and best ways to make money; using a leveraged residual income opportunity.
How is a successful MLM business leveraged? Simply stated you find several business partners and nearly everyone else you find does the same. Everyone participating gets a piece of the pie. The more people consuming products, the more you make.
People often refer to these businesses as scams or pyramids. Believe me, there may be more than a few scams out there but most of the well known ones are very legitimate businesses with excellent products, training, resources and are designed to make you a lot of money, very legal money, I might add.
These are great residual income opportunities to take advantage of since you are your own boss. You have the power to set your own hours and work as hard or easy as you want. Rewards come from your own efforts.
Someone I heard the other day mentioned his definition of a financial pyramid and I had to laugh. So company BCA (Big Corporate America) has a president or two, a bunch of vice presidents, executives, middle management and 26 levels of people higher than the workers that actually do the all of the work. The people at the top make way more money than the people at the bottom. There are less people at the top and more at the bottom. Tell me, if you’re not the guy at the very top, do you want to spend your life in this corporate pyramid, on the bottom?
In a legal MLM business, each and every person has the same chance to make money. You are rewarded by your ability to add motivated team members. It’s much more “fair” that the ‘lion’s share’ of the rewards be given to those who earn it.
One piece of information that I have observed is that you don’t need to personally sponsor a lot of people in order to be successful in an MLM business. I’ve seen it with multiple people who are extremely successful in MLM.
In the beginning it might seem challenging to find people interested in joining your business but if you make a commitment to make it work, it will. You just have to keep at it.
You need to sort through people as fast as possible in order to succeed quickly. Your job is to find the right people, not convince the wrong ones. To your success!
If you haven’t yet created a Twitter account then you are really missing out.
This service has exploded in growth in the past few months and I don’t see it slowing down anytime soon. There are now MILLIONS of users and it’s becoming really mainstream. In fact i see Twitter related sites popping up all over the web.
I’ve been running some interesting tests and I’m already seeing some great traffic results — far greater than the traffic from Facebook or any other “Web 2.0″ service.
Facebook and the others certainly have their place, but Twitter is more powerful. At first I didn’t really “get it” but now I do and the traffic stats don’t lie. It works.
As a communications tool, Twitter is probably only second to email right now. It’s a great way to network with people as well as to drive visitors to any of your sites, blog posts, or sales pages.
But Do Not Wait…
Create a Twitter account now and start ‘following’ the people that you want to follow. Others will eventually follow you in return. Observe how others post and you’ll quickly learn the culture, etiquette, and uses for Twitter.

You really need to start today because the sooner you start the sooner your followers list will start growing and more people will see your posts, which will then virally grow from there.

Twitter is extremely viral. When you make posts (called “tweets”) they can be exposed to all the friends (followers) of others. Then they can choose to follow you.
I think Twitter is going to really evolve into a “must use” marketing tool. It’s a great way to announce you’ve just made a new blog post, released a new product, or anything else you’re up to.
I’m already seeing 40+ visitors each time I make a tweet that I’ve made a new blog post.
So trust me, this is no flash in the pan. In fact, this may be one of the most powerful marketing tools ever, depending on how it evolves.
But so far you’d be crazy not to use it. It’s producing great results.
Take 2 minutes to create an account, you’ll want to do it now so you can at least get your name before someone else takes it. Or your company or product name, etc.

Not too long ago, I sent out an email explaining about a hectic Sunday morning that I had when every last one of my websites were down. In that email, I expounded on how I happened to accidentally find myself with not a single one of my websites online! I’m not going to get into detail about that now, rather I’m going to share a resource that I think that any one who has a website should be using.
Server up time is a crucial factor when you are paying a premium price for your web hosting account! Even the best web host will be subject to downtime issues here and there! That is just the nature of this business. If you have a web host that tells you that he can guarantee 100% server up time, then I can tell you right now, that they are liars!
So what can you do to stay ahead of the game in this regard? You can use a service that monitors your web hosting server up time. There are two that I have used personally in the past that I will provide the links for. By the way both are FREE. One offers a paid service but for me the FREE version worked absolutely fine. The first one that I highly recommend is:
This service can be set up so that you will receive an email when your site is down and then another to notify you once you are back online again. The second one is called:
They also offer a paid service as well. And they will contact you by email, text message or even both to warn you of server downtime.
This is priceless when you are running an AdWords campaign. You don’t waste your money by not knowing that your site is down. You also don’t piss off potential customers by sending them to a dead URL! As soon as you get a warning that your site is down, you just simply pause your AdWords campaign until you get the message that you are up and running again.
These are the two that I have personally used in the past and I still use Downtime Witness currently. Now a frequent contributor to the blog, with always timely comments, has told me of a service that he has used for many years. So, I have included this one also in this post. As ashamed as I am to say it, I actually forget that I have a blog sometimes! Anyone will tell you that you are supposed to post at least 2 – 3 times per week to your blog. Yet, every time that I try to, I wind up getting sucked right back in to the same old rutt again. The rutt that I call, “LIFE”!
I guess sometimes you just have to hunker down and “GET-R-DONE”!
Well this is a short post today. I just wanted to let all of my raving RoboForm fanatic fans out there know that if you use RoboForm and you also use a BlackBerry, that you can now combine the two of them to create BlackFormRoboBerry. No I mean a RoboBlackFormBerry. Okay I’ll stop before I offend somebody.
But on the serious side, RoboForm is now capable of being used on your BlackBerry. Two very cool pieces of technology making a merger is always a win-win for everybody. There are some limits to what it can do as this is only in the BETA stages but I’m looking forward to seeing how it works.
You can stop thinking of different ways to turn RoboForm & BlackBerry into one word now!

Who is this guy, and who is he to claim that he has a Cure for Internet Marketing? Well, his name is Scott Boulch, and he creatively calls himself a “Doru”! You might be saying, ‘What the *#@! is a Doru!’ If you are, I can’t blame you, I said the exact same thing.
His explanation is that a Doru is a person who is doing and implementing whatever it is that they are trying so whole-heartedly to sell you on. He claims that they are the exact opposite of a Guru who attempts to sell you on any and everything that he can promote without ever implementing ‘the next best thing’ himself first! His only concerns is his affiliate commissions! So he will get into bed with any marketer who has a huge commission and promote that person’s product with the fervor of a raving lunatic!
That is just the tip of the iceberg! He touches on many more subjects like this in his ebook. Subjects that hit home with stinging truth! Now on to a lighter note. You may have noticed that my comments on the blog have a picture of me by my posts. You may have thought that this was because it’s my blog and that was simply a feature of my blog. Well it isn’t. Anyone can have this same feature on any of their posts on any blog. It’s called an avatar. But how does it know when to put my picture up and not someone else’s? I ain’t no tech guy, by any means, so I can’t tell you how that works. What I can tell you is where you can go to get your very own avatar at though.

You back already! Well, anyway, what do you think this short commercial represents? For me, this video represents the power of “Word Of Mouth”! Word of mouth is such a powerful weapon in your business, whether it be an online venture or an offline one. Why is it so powerful?
It happens to be very powerful because in most word of mouth situations, it tends to be just everyday conversation. We live in a world of constant advertisements. So much so, that in our psyche, even on a subconcious level, we have been trained to tune out any form of marketing. We’re bombarded with forms of advertisement every step of our day. In the morning we have commercials on the radio when we get up. If you check the weather, you will most likely have to wait until the run of commercials is over before you can get the temperature. Even once it does come on, it begins with the lead in of, “Today’s forecast is brought to you by…”! On the way to work we have radio commercials again, billboards, the tax person in the gorilla suit or the statue of liberty outfit. If you get to work and check your email, you have pop-ups. If your pop-up blocker is on then you still get hit with banner ads! And on and on, and on and on!
As a people we have learned to tune all of this, once clever, forms of advertising out. We’ve become immune to it and honestly, oblivious to all of it’s herculean efforts. So what does this mean for the marketer? It means that you have to find other avenues in order to get your message heard. Which is why word of mouth is such a great form of advertising. With word of mouth you find yourself in a conversation, instead of being shouted at! Which is what most advertisements amount to. Someone screaming at you, “BUY, BUY, BUY!”
Why do you think social marketing is so big right now? Simply because social sites amount to conversation. You have peers talking to you, not at you! Master this in your marketing and you’ll reap the rewards of breaking through that marketing barrier that many people have up at all times!
How can you attain “true” word of mouth and not feigned word of mouth through spamming the social site hemisphere. Over deliver on your product. Put what everyone else wants ahead of yours, starting with your customer’s, also your affiliates and your JV partners. If they can get what they want and more, you’ll get more than what you were looking for! As always your comments are welcome.

My web cam must have popped on while I was burning the midnight oil and exposed me in my weakest state of sleep deprivation.
