So what else can we take personally from this unique video from the web. There is a lot that can be taken from this video. One of the things that I felt was that this video was a great example of the power of perseverance.

At any moment that calf could have given up his fight for life, just laid down and not resisted the frontal attacks by the lions or the crocodiles. If so, he may have been dead even before the herd had a chance to even attempt a rescue. Do we at the first sign of any resistance find ourselves giving in to heavy pressures? Or are we similar to this calf and fighting fully for our dreams and in all actuality, our life?

Or how about the power in numbers? Just the sheer numbers of that herd was enough to scare off a pack of lions. In our Online pursuits, the power of numbers can never be under estimated! Could you use the support of others giving you much needed encouragement whenever times seem to be at their roughest? Who couldn’t?! How about others pushing you to chase your pursuits and accomplish your goals?

I’m in the process of creating something that will do just that: Create power in numbers! Stay tuned for that.

For now just post a comment telling me how this video could apply to you directly or indirectly. I can’t wait to read and reply to your comments!

But for now…

  1. I have lived in Africa for many years … gone on safaris since I was a very small child … seen many interesting things just by being at the right place at the right time … yet this ‘Battle at Kruger’ video is so moving and incredibly powerful.

Nature has so much to teach us humans … if only we would follow her examples more often.

The power lies in numbers and persistence. This is what marketing is all about …
    – the more people who know about your products and services, the more clients, sales and money you’ll have!
    – don’t give up … keep following up … eventually your product or service will be wanted.

May the baby buffalo grow up to lead the herd that gave it life again … just as your products and services will lead in the ever-changing marketplace after a radical shake-up and change from time to time.

Thanks for such an inspiring video.

  2. Thank you for your inspiring comment Kondavi. The power does lie in numbers and persistence. So many are willing to give up at the slightest hint of possible resistance.

What if this young calf would have given up, what would have been his future? Not very promising, most likely. What if we look at it from another angle, what if the herd had given up on the calf?

Success was only achieved through the efforts of the collective as a whole. That is a very powerful lesson for us to learn. Success, true success, is usually never achieved on one’s own. How many millionaire hermits do you know of?

When your efforts are focused through a collective effort the results can be enormous!

That was indeed a powerful and inspiring video. Here are a few other insights I gained from it:

    1. It’s really not over till it’s over.

Many times in marketing (and life) you can be tempted to throw in the towel prematurely. If you aren’t generating the sales numbers or signups you projected, you could eventually become discouraged and entertain thoughts of giving up.

But that’s when you need to buckle down and give it one more attempt. Very often that’s what gets you over the top. It’s darkest just before dawn.

    2. The power of faith.

When you get into challenging situations that you simply can’t handle alone, it helps to adopt an attitude of faith that the outcome will be positive. And while you continue to do your very best to remedy the situation, help usually arrives.

The strength of your faith is itself a call for assistance, and the Universe generally responds by delivering that assistance in surprising and unpredictable ways.

    3. The importance of loyalty (and love).

The herd of buffulo could easily have decided that losing one calf wasn’t a big deal; instead they banded together and mounted a successful attack to recover their loved one. It’s reminiscent of the biblical story about the lost sheep.

This planet of ours is truly an enormous classroom, and everyone has something to learn as well as to teach.

  3. Thank you for your insights Hermas.

It is simply amazing to me that we all can look at this very same video and get completely different perspectives on it. Have our own opinions on it and all of us be absolutely correct in our asessment of the video.

There are valuable lessons to be learned from any experience with just a little meditation on the situation
