The Tragic Recession And You!

The bad news is that the economy is in a state that actually sucks big time! The good news is that the economy is in a state that actually sucks big time! Wow, have you ever heard a statement like this before? A statement that has two totally opposite meanings, yet, both are still true. I have and it is credited to Napoleon Hill so as far as I know. It goes something like this, “There are two people in this world: Those that think they can and those that think they can’t. They are both correct!” See, two true statements, right?

But what does this have to do with the economy being messed up and it being bad and good news? Well because history tends to repeat itself and any great historian can tell you that. Do you know what was one of the greatest assets to come out of the Great Depression? Couldn’t guess? Well I’ll tell you: MILLIONAIRES! Some of the greatest wealthy families of our era were created during the Great Depression. Think of any family name in the U.S.A that comes to mind when you think of old wealth… you done. Well guess when they got wealthy? You got it, during the Great Depression.

I’m sure right about now you are asking yourself, “Well, what does this have to do with me?” Plenty, and I will show you in a second but first let’s tackle some modern day myths about a recession. A recession isn’t exactly a state of the economy, in fact it really is nothing but a state of mind. I know that some of you are laughing right now but I’ll explain. Supposedly we have a money issue when there is a recession. So let’s look and see what happened to the money. Was it all transferred out of the U.S. by foreigners using overnight mail? Maybe we all got up this morning, went into a convenience store to get some coffee and suddenly realized that all of our hard earned American dollars had turned into rubles? Or maybe it was abducted by aliens?!

I know that I sound crazy but I just needed to make my point clear. THE MONEY HAS NOT WENT ANYWHERE, IT IS STILL HERE! AS IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN! So why the recession? Because the state of mind that is created by the mass media that we are in a recession. People get cautious, so everybody stops spending! Now guess what, WE ARE in a ‘mass hysteria created recession’. The real question is, “How can we use this state of mind and economy issues today to create mass wealth for ourselves like the wealthy did before us?”

Most experts agree that the only way to get people to spend at a time like this is by doing what has worked for centuries. That age old secret is: Marketing! You can create your own wealth right now by marketing to the masses. “Market what?” you say. Why not market something that will appease to all. How about something that can save one group of people on one side money; the consumers, yet, make money for the people on the other side; the marketers. Whats up this is kind of of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding expertise so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  2. Yes they do use, What You See Is What You Get(WYSIWYG), or you could also enter it with HTML if that is your cup of tea. Much success on your blog Max!
